Then if any man say unto you,
Lo, here is Christ or there; Believe it not. Matthew 24:23
He said there would be earthquakes in divers
or various places. There are earthquakes
happening now in places that never had them
up until recently. And their frequency is on the
rise with a nearly 500% increase in
number of major earthquakes in the past 30
years.
Jesus also warned of severe famines that
would take place in the world. Over half the
world is starving today, due to the inability to
grow enough food to feed themselves
There are, as I write this article, over 100
diseases that have no known cure and have
no effective treatment. Yes, the Lord warned
us of this also.
These things look horrible, but they don’t
compare with the deception that He spoke
about. This deception is not whether or not
the president lied to us or that congress is
trying to trick us into believing their stories.
“What is this deception?” you ask. The
deception is, when so-called “men of God”
bring in their twisted scripture teachings and
put God’s people into bondage. These people
are so smooth and so confident, that most
don’t realize they are being deceived.
This is hardly the desire of the Lord for your
life. Jesus died for us that we might obtain the
freedom and liberty to know God personally
for ourselves. Jesus said in John 17:3, as
He Prayed to God the Father in Heaven,
And this is life eternal, that they might know
thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ,
whom thou has sent. We can see here that it
is God’s desire for us to know Him and in this
knowing Him we obtain eternal life.
God created us with the ability to know and
experience His love and His presence in our
lives. What grieves God greatly, is, when the
ones who He created to have a relationship
with Him, reject His love.
The biggest problem is that, few people have
a real knowledge of God and what He wants
for your lives. This is an open door for
someone to come in and fill you full of lies.
These deceivers come in and take God’s
word and twist it around or make an entire
doctrine out of one scripture and take many
down the path to Hell. Beware of this
happening to you!
Many of these men
and women are
considered to be
“moral upright members
of the Christian community”,
or “pillars of the church.”
I am not saying every scripture quoting, Bible
toting individual is a fraud. On the contrary,
there are plenty of true Christians out there,
who love the Lord with all their hearts. These
are the type of people, who won’t deceive or
be deceived. But there are many out there,
who are not this way. Beware of them. Here is
another quote, from the Lord Jesus Christ,
concerning these men. Remember, these
men will be smooth in their deception. For
many shall come in my name, saying I am
Christ ; and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:
5. They shall come in and say Jesus is the
Christ, and preach a lovely sounding
message that is full of opinion, psychology
and man’s reasoning. Some of them are
pastors, who will stand in front of their
congregation and say “God told me there are
five of you out there that can give $1000 and
there are twenty that can give $100” and take
your money for themselves and not the work
of the ministry.
God didn’t tell them that, anymore than He
told them to teach error. Some churches you
can leave that big clunky Bible at home and
just bring your checkbook.
Some of them will try to convince you that
God is doing a “new thing on the earth” or it’s
a “new movement of the spirit” going on. This
is a lie. God is not doing a new thing , but
rather an old thing. He’s calling His people to
repent of their sin and unbelief and to turn
their hearts back to Him again.
Many have fallen prey to the “holy laughter”
movement or the uncontrollable shaking and
trembling that accompanies being filled with
the “spirit”. These movements are not of God,
but demonic.
Do any of you picture Jesus doing these
things? How about Paul or Peter, or perhaps
James and John? I can’t for the life of me
picture these men of God carrying on in such
a manner. This is hardly the sober and
vigilant behavior we are warned.
You will find some of them on television or
radio asking you to send $1000 to break
“the spirit of poverty” from your life.
Nowhere in scripture is there ever
mentioned a spirit of poverty. And if they
really wanted to help you in your time of
financial need, why don’t they send you
$1000? Won’t God “meet their need” also?
Or maybe you can have these men come
and do meetings at your church. But be
careful. It might cost you a large sum of
money and all the offerings. It could even
cost you your congregation. Many church
splits have happened, in recent years, due
to their meetings and crusades.
Do you think for a moment, that Paul and
Barnabas charged the churches to come
and preach. Maybe Paul charged Timothy
for the two letters he wrote to him. Or
maybe the church at Galatia needed to
take up a collection to get Paul to write to
them.
I beseech you, brethren, that you be
watchful and reject these false teachers
and their polluted doctrine. Paul tells us
For the time will come when they will not
endure sound doctrine; but after their own
lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears; and they
shall turn away their ears from the truth,
and shall be turned unto fables. 2
Timothy 4:3,4 Paul is telling us, that there
will be people who wish to have lies
preached to them to tell the what they want
to hear.
The decision to reject deception is,
ultimately, our own. We need to know what
God says and not accept anything less
than that for our lives. Jesus tells us in
John 5:39: Search the scriptures; for in
them ye think ye have eternal life: and
they are they that testify of me. He never
wanted us to be dependant upon
psychology or theology. He wants us to
understand that He is a loving Savior and
He only has our best interests in mind. And
He will do for you what no one else could
ever do. If you are tired and weary from
this deception, hear again what Jesus has
to say. Come unto me, all ye that labor
and are heavy laden, and I will give you
rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of
me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and
ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my
yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30. Jesus promises you
rest and peace of mind if you will only
come to Him on His terms And let Him
teach you His way.
If you don’t really know the Lord, you need
only to ask Him to make Himself real to you
and He will, guaranteed. He will forgive
your sins and give you a fresh start with a clean slate. He’ll put a joy in your
heart like you’ve never experienced before
and show you His great love for you
God offers you salvation, healing
and true peace of mind that no man or
woman can offer. Go to Him and find out
just what He has in store for you!
I leave you now with a promise from the
lord. I will never leave thee, nor forsake
thee. Hebrews 13:5b Remember, God
never lies and He never changes. This is
good news for this topsy-turvy, ever
changing world we live in.
Until next time, Keep looking to Jesus, He’ll
never let you down!
Just trust Him!
